Marta Zimniak-Hałajko

Marta Zimniak-Hałajko is a cultural anthropologist, an associate professor at the Institute of Polish Culture at University of Warsaw and co-creator of the concept and co-coordinator of Gender and sexuality MA program. Her field of academic interest is contemporary Polish culture, with particular emphasis on issues related to social and religious movements, social utopias, and public discourses. She is the author of Raj oswojony: Antropologia nowych ruchów religijnych (2003) and Ciało i wspólnota: Wokół prawicowej wyobraźni (2017). Zimniak-Hałajko teaches courses on qualitative research methodology and workshop-style colloquia. These sessions facilitate discussions between students and representatives of various institutions, covering topics such as the anthropology of sexuality, anthropology of reproduction, and alternative economies.
