Shaping Local Perspectives on Global Issues
A rich network of international academic connections, as well as established relationships with national research centers, non-governmental organizations, and cultural and artistic institutions, helps the development of local perspectives on global issues. Through these connections, students have the opportunity to:
- Participate in Erasmus+ scholarships – A student exchange program within gender studies is under development in collaboration with Charles University in Prague (LINK), Humboldt University in Berlin (LINK), and the University of Granada (LINK)
- Attend international seminars and conferences and participate in joint online student courses organized within the research network of scholars working in this field of study at 4EU+ universities (Charles University in Prague, University of Copenhagen, University of Paris – Paris IV-Sorbonne, University of Milan, University of Geneva)
- Take part in and co-organize events with Polish and international scholars, as well as practitioners in the field of gender and sexuality studies (e.g., the regularly held student conferences, the American Studies Colloquium Series events organized by the Student Chapter of the Gender/Sexuality Research Group at ASC UW).
- Participate in classes taught by scholars or experts with experience outside academia, particularly through courses such as Practical applications of gender and sexuality studies and Gender and sexuality studies perspectives, course based on guest lectures
