Marta Rawłuszko – sociologist, graduate of the Jagiellonian University and the University of Exeter, is assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw, and chair of the Board of Sociology of Gender Section of the Polish Sociological Association (PTS). The author of the monograph Feminists in Collaboration with the State (2020), which explores the dynamics and outcomes of institutional changes for gender equality implemented in bureaucratic settings. She has coordinated research projects funded by the National Science Centre (Preludium 11) and the European Union’s Horizon program. Her research interests include sociology of politics and social movements, feminist activism, and issues related to sexual violence, including the Polish #MeToo movement. She is an inaugural winner of the Flax Foundation’s Emma Goldman Prize. In 2023, she participated in the Visiting Scholar Program of the Freie Universität in Berlin. She has published in Studia Socjologiczne, Stan Rzeczy, Teksty Drugie, European Journal of Women’s Studies, Politics & Gender, and European Journal of Politics & Gender. She is also one of the co-founders of the Feminist Fund and has been an educator and a researcher for years, collaborating with various Polish non-governmental organizations, including the Anti-Discrimination Education Society (TEA), the Polish Association for Anti-Discrimination Law (PTPA), the Campaign Against Homophobia (KPH), and the Foundation for Equality and Emancipation STER.
